Mark E  Wilson   BDS  DGDP

I qualified at Bristol University, England, graduating  as BDS in 1988. My GDC registration number is 63774.

In my first year of general practice I was selected to take part in a post grad training scheme. This involved performing closely monitored clinical work out in practice and attending weekly lectures at Leeds University.

This vocational training scheme has since become mandatory for newly qualified dentists.

Following on from this foundation year I worked in a two surgery inner city practice. After a couple of busy years I then moved to a large multi surgery high street practice.

I continued studies and gained a registerable qualification from the Royal College of Surgeons, the DGDP.

In '93 it was my good fortune to join Onward House albeit on a part time basis. With an innovative approach to clinical dentistry new horizons were constantly being opened here. The practice grew dramatically and clearly needed expansion.

In '99 I took an equal share in the practice and fitted my upstairs surgery and waiting room. The last three years have been extremely busy with continued development pushing the practice forwards.

Ros is my dental nurse and runs my surgery smoothly and efficiently. She is a fully qualified dental surgery assistant  and has many years of experience in general practice.

Ros has played a pivotal role with our recent computerisation. Her experience of IT made integration of the new system all the more easy.

I am involved in the  Lifelong Learning Scheme run by the General Dental Council. The scheme is aimed at maintaining standards across the profession and has now become mandatory. lifeelonglearnlogo.jpg (20189 bytes)

The registered toothwise logo appears on my stationary and leaflets.

Toothwise is my mark of quality assurance

My previous nurse Noreen has had a change of role in the practice and is now a part time receptionist. She mans the desk for  an afternoon each week, and covers holiday periods.

We were all delighted to keep a hold of Noreen and are pleased that she has made a seamless transition to her new position.
